darkness drops gray veil

   blankets life with death

   yet

   tears

   shimmer in moment sublime

   call forth

   trees budding

   water nourishing

 

   God’s image mirrored 

   one final time

   as obedience bids farewell

   knowing

   likeness is no accident

 

   do you not see your spirit

   mingling there

   daughters 

   sons

   angels

   Elohim

   as tears

   shimmer

   caught

   in water’s life renewing essence
